Europe and the whole of France are beautiful, but I like to appreciate what I have and can do around Lyon as the Rhone Alpes is a wonderful department to visit! It is actually one of the most prosperous regions of France, famous for its Alpine ski areas. But the region, which stretches from Lake Geneva to the Cevennes and Provence, is far more than just the French Alps. It offers a wide range of destinations, with the city of Lyon, Mont Blanc, the roof of Europe, Drôme and Ardèche, evocative of Provence, Auvergne and its volcanoes.
