Well, let me tell you this. The best festival in France is the very famous Fete des Lumières in Lyon. Really! And let me tell you now why I think so…

I have been taking part in the Festival of Lights for the past 4 years now. Each year is different but the same beautiful, amazing, surprising and worth going. What am I saying here! It is really an event you should see! Each year, Fête des Lumières brought me so many good emotions, great time, unmissable views. Each year, I gained new experience and learned my lessons on how to enjoy the show fully and avoid unpleasant surprises. I have already written about my previous experience with Festival of Lights here and I shared few tips. Now, I want to present you Fête des Lumières 2017 in a short great pictures summary. Because even if I love talking sometimes it’s worth to be quiet and just enjoy the silence with the beautiful pictures. So here you are the amazing photos which were taken by Instagrammer: instant_shots_ the photographer amateur who like me loves Lyon. And he took such great photos of the Festival of Lights, which I want to show you so you can understand why it is worth coming!

And now, my little feedback for the Festival of Lights in Lyon 2017. There were 4 days – I did 3! Again, everything was beautiful, amazing, the city was prepared, very well organized (so we knew where to go, were to go out etc) and so secured (I felt even too safe!) and it was cold and a bit rainy (but well it’s winter after all). My favorite animations at the Fete des Lumières 2017 were:

The view of Lyon from the Fourviere Hill – magnificent panorama showing that Lyon is a real City of Lights.

There were many more animations I liked very much but I cannot describe them all. Have a look at the slideshow below, discover the best photos of Fete des Lumieres and maybe you find your favorite?
There were few things I missed as it’s impossible to see all. Well, it is possible but if you do too much you can spoil everything. And of course, I got some bad experience during Fete des Lumières. I was a bit disappointed with the Big Wheel at the Bellecour not working and the lack of animations in the Parc de la Tête d’Or. But of course, this didn’t destroy my appreciation for Lyon best show.
And YOU? Did you have a chance to take part in Fête de Lumière in Lyon? Do you also think it’s the best show in France? What did you like the most?
And lastly, if you haven’t been there so far, book yourself in for the next Festival of Lights, come to Lyon and have the best time ever. It’s worth it! (just my little recommendation here)
Great that Fête des Lumières 2017 also took place in Théâtre Antique, Place Antonin-Poncet and Piscines du Rhône (Centre Nautique). Amazing shows.
